From:
Palin the Deceiver
(Conservative Heritage Times) — by HarrisonBergeron2 —Conservatives beware — there’s a new betrayer in town, making all the right noises to assure you she’s on your side, when in fact, she’s just another pawn for the regime.
“There is nothing wrong with America that a good old fashioned election won’t fix,” she said.“American exceptionalism” is code for “continued taxpayer subsidies for armed intervention at home and abroad,” all for the purpose of expanding the power of the central government and the continued enrichment of politically connected big business. That’s how sincere conservatives are fooled into supporting policies that directly promote the radical, big-government agenda of the Neocons.
This is something I just can’t figure out. The Tea Party folks all say they are conservatives. They say their only agenda is electing conservative politicians to office.
But then they adopt Sarah Palin as a titular figurehead. They flock to rallies to see her speak. They clamor for her to come to their parties.
But she is so obviously and transparently entrenched in the Republican Party establishment machine. She’s out stumping for McCain at every opportunity. She embraces the party as represented by McCain. McCain isn’t a conservative. Neither, gasp, is Sarah palin.
Not that I think “conservative” is all that high a thing to aspire to, but at least if you are going to go for it, don’t pick out a leader who doesn’t want to take you there.
This would be a little like the Code Pink, PETA, Social Democracy element of the Democrat party choosing Lieberman as their figure head. It just doesn’t make any sense.
